BSAI Project

Project co-financed by the Region Emilia Romagna

PROJECT TITLE:

BSAI - Brick Supervisor Advanced Interface

Project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Emilia Romagna Region call for tender POR FESR 2014-2020 "call for business collaborative research and development projects" - DGR 773/2015 and subsequent amendments.

AMOUNT OF THE CONTRIBUTION GRANTED: € 117,204.00

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: May 2016 - October 2017

DESCRIPTION:

The project consists in the study, design, implementation and validation of a (hardware/software) technological infrastructure, with an advanced Human-Machine interaction system (HMI) also based on graphic and vocal interfaces, for the management and supervision of industrial drying systems and kilns for the production of bricks.

OBJECTIVES:

The Project also aims to study, develop and validate an infrastructure accessible both from fixed stations such as PCs and Laptops, and from mobile devices (smartphones and tablets), to allow for Human-Machine interaction, thanks to the use of graphic interfaces, touch and voice systems.

This will allow for easy, multi-level (operator-technicians) control anywhere.

RESULTS:

The project outcome will be a technological automation infrastructure, based on innovative technologies applicable to process control systems of kilns and dryers, ensuring interaction with operators and technicians through advanced interfaces; this infrastructure will allow the supervision and control of systems and the storage of production data on a central Data Base for process traceability purposes.
